Let \({\mathcal H}_ g\) be the Siegel half-space of degree \(g\). The author investigates Jacobi forms on \({\mathcal H}_ g\times \mathbb{C}^ g\) of weight \(k\) and index \(m\). Therefore certain Poincaré series \(P_{k,m} (\cdot,\delta, s)\) depending on \(\delta>0\) and \(s\in\mathbb{C}\), \(\text{Re}(s)\gg 0\) are introduced. They turn out to be real-analytic Jacobi forms of weight \(k\) and index \(m\). The meromorphic continuation to the whole \(s\)-plane and the functional equation of the Poincaré series under \(s\mapsto {{g+1} \over 2}-s\) are demonstrated by relating it to the non-analytic Siegel-Eisenstein series on \({\mathcal H}_{g+1}\). The limiting case \(\delta\to \infty\) yields the usual non-holomorphic Eisenstein series of weight \(k\) and index \(m\) on \({\mathcal H}_ g\times \mathbb{C}^ g\). As an application one considers the Petersson scalar product of the Poincaré series with a Jacobi form \(f\). The Rankin-Selberg method yields up to a Whittaker function a generalized Mellin transform \({\mathcal M}_ f(s)\) of \(f\). As a corollary one obtains the meromorphic continuation and functional equation of \({\mathcal M}_ f(s)\) under \(s\mapsto {{g+1} \over 2}-s\) as well as information about the poles.
