Consider Sturm-Liouville differential equations of the form \begin{align*} (r(t)x')'+s\left(t\right)x=0,\qquad r(t)>0\tag{1.1} \end{align*} with a power of the independent variable and sums of periodic functions as coefficients (including the case when the coefficient functions have different periods). It can be shown that the studied equations are conditionally oscillatory, namely, there exists a critical value which can be expressed by the coefficients and which separates oscillatory equations from non-oscillatory ones. \par In this paper, applying the method of the modified Prüfer angle, the behavior of the treated equations in the borderline case is specified and it is proved that the considered equations are non-oscillatory in the critical borderline case.
