Let \(G\) be a compact connected Lie group and \(T\) be its maximal torus. The quotient space \(G/T\) is homeomorphic to a product of quotients of compact simply-connected simple Lie groups by maximal tori. Each factor of this product having no torsion, the algebra of cohomology of any \(G/T\) is determined by the knowledge of the case when \(G\) is simple and simply-connected. The cases where \(G=\text{SU}(n)\), \(\text{Sp}(n)\), \(\text{Spin}(n)\), \(G_2\), \(F_4\), \(E_6\) are known. The paper under review completes this list by computing the integral cohomology of \(G/T\) when \(G\) is the exceptional Lie group \(E_7\). For that, the author determines the invariant subalgebras of the Weyl groups. The methods are similar to those used previously by H. Toda and T. Watanabe in the cases \(G=F_4\) and \(G=E_6\).
