    The authors consider the following non-autonomous strongly damped wave equation with a linear memory term defined in a bounded domain \(\Omega\) in \(\mathbb R^3\): \[ u_{tt}-\alpha \Delta u_t-\beta \Delta u- \int_0^\infty \mu(s) \Delta\eta^t s) \,ds+ f(u) =g(x,t), \] \[ u(x,t) =0 ,\quad (x,t) \in \partial \Omega \times \mathbb R, \] where \(\alpha\) and \(\beta\) are positive constants, \(\mu\) is a summable positive function, \(f\) is a given nonlinear function, \(g\) is a time-dependent forcing, and \[ \eta^t (x,s) = u(x,t)-u(x, t-s), \quad s \geq 0. \] When the nonlinearity \(f\) is critical and the forcing term \(g\) is translation-bounded, the authors first establish the regularity of solutions, and then prove the existence of a uniform compact attractor for the equation.
