A sequence \((T_n)_{n\geq 0}\) of bounded operators on a separable \(\mathcal{F}\)-space \(X\) is hypercyclic if there exists a vector \(x\) in \(X\) such that the set \(\{T_n x \; ; \; n\geq 0\}\) is dense in \(X\). An operator \(T\) on \(X\) is hypercyclic if the sequence \((T^n)_{n\geq 0}\) of its powers is hypercyclic. The main topic of this paper is the study of syndetically hypercyclic operators: \(T\) is syndetically hypercyclic if for any sequence \((n_k)_{k\geq 0}\) of integers such that \(n_{k+1}-n_{k}\) is bounded, the sequence \((T^{n_k})_{k\geq 0}\) is hypercyclic. The authors prove that \(T\) is syndetically hypercyclic if and only if \(T\) satisfies the hypercyclicity criterion. Then they investigate the behaviour of the sub-orbits \(\{T^{n_k} x \text{ ; } k\geq 0\}\), where \(x\) is a hypercyclic vector for \(T\) and \(n_{k+1}-n_{k}\) is bounded.
