If \(X\) is a doubling metric measure space supporting a Poincaré inequality, the authors show that quasi-minimizers, and in particular \(p\)-harmonic functions defined as minimizers of a suitable \(p\)-energy functional, satisfy Harnack's inequality, the strong maximum principle and are locally Hölder continuous. The main ingredient is an extension of De Giorgi's techniques to appropriate classes of functions \(u:\Omega\to \mathbb{R}\) being defined on open subsets of \(X\).
