In the second chapter of this monograph, the authors consider the linearised Monge-Ampère equation and the interior regularity of its solutions. Such kind of equations appears in different contexts: affine minimal surface equations, Abreu's equation, semigeostrophic equation and regularity of the polar factorisation for time dependent maps. The equation is in non-divergence form and the degeneracy and the singularity of such kind of equation are the main difficulties in establishing regularity results. In this chapter, the authors introduce Krylov-Safonov regularity theory and the celebrated Caffarelli-Gutierrez regularity approach. By using these approachs, the authors give the proof of interior Harnack and Hölder estimates. For the entire collection see [Zbl 1373.35006].
