The author proposes an extension to arbitrary topological spaces of the Milnor-Thurston homology theory for differentiable manifolds. That new Milnor-Thurston homology coincides with the singular homology for all triangulable spaces (Theorem 5.0). The author gives a counterexample to the validity of the coincidence theorem for all topological spaces.
