This paper presents the treatment of interfaces between two inhomogeneous media in the framework of a \(P^1\)-conforming finite element method for the approximate solution of the Maxwell equations. The method is based on dualization and then, the approximation of the interface condition. An adequate variational formulation is proposed. The choice of the discrete spaces and the convenient setting for the discrete variational formulaton is presented. Numerical examples are given.
