The Ginzburg-Landau \(\nabla\varphi\) interface model is a model of time evolution of a continuous spin system on \(d\)-dimensional lattice. The configuration \(\varphi\) is interpreted as an effective modelization of a \((d+1)\)-dimensional interface which separates different two phases and their dynamics is governed by a Langevin equation associated with massless Hamiltonian. The hydrodynamic limit for this model with periodic boundary conditions was initially obtained by \textit{T. Funaki} and \textit{H. Spohn} [Commun. Math. Phys. 185, No. 1, 1--36 (1997; Zbl 0884.58098)]. The author studies the hydrodynamic limit for the same model with general Dirichlet boundary conditions. The main tool of the proof is the \(H^{-1}\)-method which is the same as the periodic boundary conditions case. Difficulties arising from the boundary effects have been overcome by several precise estimates based on the technique about nonlinear elliptic equations.
