Suppose (NP) is a scaled Nevanlinna-Pick problem on \(\{z_n\}\), that is, there exists a solution \(f_0\) satisfying \(|f_0|_\infty< 1\). Let \(P\), \(Q\), \(R\) and \(S\) be coefficients appearing in Nevanlinna's parametrization of the solutions and \(\pi\) be the Blaschke product of \(\{z_n\}\). Let \(D_\pi\) be the Douglas algebra generated by \(H^\infty\) and \(\pi\). The authors show that the functions \(P/R\), \(Q/R\), \(S/R\), \(1/R\) belong to the algebra \(CDA_\pi\), where \(CDA_\pi\) is the subalgebra of \(H^\infty\) generated by all inner functions \(I\) invertible in \(D_\pi\). As a corollary, they get a known result: If (NP) is semiscaled but not scaled, then any solution is inner and hence must be unique.
