Groups of Heisenberg type are step-two nilpotent simply connected Lie groups the Lie algebra of which is similar to the usual Heisenberg algebra. Hence the group laws have explicit not too complicated representations (splitting rules) in coordinates of first resp. second kind. Continuing previous investigations [the first and the third author, Probability theory on vector spaces IV, Proc. Conf., Łańcut/Poland 1987, Lect. Notes Math. 1391, 59-65 (1989; Zbl 0681.60013) and Probability measures on groups IX, Proc. 9th Conf., Oberwolfach/FRG 1988, Lect. Notes Math. 1379, 75-85 (1989; Zbl 0681.60014)], the authors obtain explicit representations e.g. for the Brownian motion on a group of type- H and for the Hamiltonian equations. Calculations of the coefficients of dual representations on the enveloping algebra lead to (generalized) Appell polynomials and solutions of the heat-flow on polynomial functions on type-H groups.
