Der Wert von \(\sum\left(\frac{\alpha-\beta}{\alpha+\beta}\right)^2\) für die Wurzeln der kubischen Gleichung \(x^3+px^2+qx+r=0\) ist: \[ (3p^2q^2-4q^3-4p^3r-2pqr-qr^2):(r-pq)^2. \] (In der theory of equation von Burnside und Panton, Dublin 1881, p. 54, steht der Zähler unrichtig: \[ -p^2q^2-4p^3r+8q^3-2pqr-qr^2). \]
