Mortar finite elements for interface problems (Q1885285): Difference between revisions

The authors present the interface problem using mortar finite elements. A mortar discretization scheme and a priori estimates are developed with theorems and lemma. Finally, a number of numerical experimental results is presented for theory validation. It is also shown that there is a weak singularity in the stress at the opening of the crack.
