This paper is the last in a long sequence of papers due to the authors extending Fischer's classification of finite 3-transposition groups to the infinite case. In fact the authors classify all groups \(G\) modulo the center which are generated by a class of 3-transpositions. They give a list of 19 types too long to be stated here. As a nice byproduct they get that any 3-transposition group is locally finite.
