For a finite group \(G\) and for a given subset \(\sigma\subseteq\pi=\pi(G)\), call \(G\) to be \(\sigma\)-Sylow factorizable if it has at least one `independent' \(\sigma\)-Sylow sequence \(P_1,\dots,P_k\) of Sylow subgroups, one for every prime in \(\sigma\), such that the order of the product \(P_1\cdots P_k\) equals the product of the orders of the factors. A \(\sigma\)-Sylow product is the product of a \(\sigma\)-Sylow sequence (independent or not) and taken to be 1 if \(\sigma\) is empty. Let \(R_\sigma(G)\) be the maximal solvable normal \(\sigma\)-subgroup of \(G\) and let \(H_\sigma(G)\) be the intersection of all \(\sigma\)-Sylow products of \(G\). The main result is Theorem A: If \(G\) is \(\sigma\)-Sylow factorizable, then \(H_\sigma(G)=R_\sigma(G)\). -- Several other results related to this notion are obtained and several interesting open questions are raised.
