    Let \(-\infty < a = x_0 < x_1 < \dots < x_N =b < \infty\) be a partition \(\Delta\) on \([a,\,b]\). The author determines a polynomial spline \(s\in C^{2n-2}[a,\,b]\) of degree \(2n-1\) with knots at \(\Delta\) which interpolates the values \(s^{(j)}(a)\), \(s^{(j)}(b)\) \((j=0,\ldots, n-1)\) and \(s(x_k)\) \((k=1,\ldots,N-1)\). Explicit formulas for the first \(n\) and the last \(n\) coefficients of a B-spline representation of \(s\) are presented. The remaining coefficients can be computed as a solution of a banded linear system. An example for a cubic spline (with \(n=2\)) is given.
