Let \(A(\Gamma)\) denote the space of complex valued functions defined on the unit circle \(\Gamma\) in \(\mathbb{C}\) which can be extended analytically in the open unit disc. A bounded linear operator \(T\) on \(A(\Gamma)\) is called a BKW-operator (in the sense of Takahasi) for the set of test functions \(S\subset A(\Gamma)\) if \((T_n)_{n\in N}\) is a sequence of bounded linear operators on \(A(\Gamma)\) satisfying (i) \(\|T_n\|\leq\|T\|\) for any \(n\), (ii) \(\|T_nh -Th\|\to 0\) as \(n\to\infty\) for any \(h\in S\) implies \(\|T_nf- Tf\|\to 0\) as \(n\to\infty\) for any \(f\in A(\Gamma)\). \(C_\varphi\) denotes an operator defined on \(A(\Gamma)\) by \(C_\varphi f:=f \circ \varphi\), where \(\varphi:\Gamma \to\mathbb{C}\), \(|\varphi |=1\). The authors investigate BKW-operators on \(A(\Gamma)\) for the set of test functions \(S_2= \{1,z,z^2\}\) having the special form \(T=(C_\varphi +C_\psi)/2\), \(|\varphi |= |\psi |=1\) on \(\Gamma\) (in this case \(T1=1\) and \(\|T\|=1)\) and give a characterization of a BKW-operator satisfying the above condition.
