This nice paper gives a characterization of existence of isotopy between an immersed surface in a three dimensional non-singular real algebraic set \(V^ 3\) and an algebraic subset of V, in the ward of algebraicity of homology groups \(H_ i(V;{\mathbb{Z}}/2)\), \(i=1,2\). - A similar result, for an embedded surface, is a consequence of the previous paper by the authors [see Am. J. Math. 107, 45-83 (1985; Zbl 0575.57009)].
