A large-deformation dynamic plane-strain finite element model is developed to simulate sheet-forming processes. An updated Lagrangian formulation based on nonlinear thin shell theory is employed. The constitutive equations are modelled by a power-hardening law with strain-rate effects, and the interfacial friction is described by a modified Coulomb type law. Applications are given to various industrial problems.
