    This paper studies a model describing the deflection of an elastic thin plate subject to a vertical load. The model is presented as a partial differential equation of fourth order. To obtain an approximate solution of this problem, the authors use a two-grid finite element method and perform an error analysis. The algorithms are given in general form.
