Let \(\mathcal F\) be any of the classical trigonometric families of Dirichlet sets, pseudo Dirichlet sets, A-sets, N\(_0\)-sets, B\(_0\)-sets, N-sets, B-sets, and weakly Dirichlet sets. For a~non-negative real function~\(f\) defined on the torus \(\mathbb T=\mathbb R/\mathbb Z\) let \(\mathcal F_f\) denote the family of sets whose definition is obtained from the definition of the family~\(\mathcal F\) by replacing the functions \(\sin\pi nx\) by \(f(nx)\). In the paper under review the authors partially answer the question what is the relationship between \(\mathcal F_f\) and~\(\mathcal F_g\) for different functions \(f\) and~\(g\). In several cases they obtain conditions for the equality of \(\mathcal F_f\) and \(\mathcal F\). Further, a~maximal well-ordered sequence of sets of size~\(\mathfrak t\) is constructed and the minimal size of a~basis is computed to be the continuum for some of the families~\(\mathcal F_f\).
