Let \(H(G)\) be the Fréchet space of all holomorphic functions on a planar domain \(G\). Let \(A\subseteq G\) be a non-relatively compact set in \(G\) (that is, the closure in \(\mathbb C\) of \(A\) meets the boundary of \(G\) or \(A\) is unbounded). For a continuous linear operator \(T\) on \(H(G)\), consider the set \[ M(T,A)=\{f\in H(G): \overline{(Tf)(A)} =\mathbb C\}. \] The authors present conditions on \(T\) which guarantee that \(M(T,A)\cup\{0\}\) contains an infinite-dimensional closed subspace. Examples include differential, composition and multiplication operators. Conditions under which \(M(T,A)\) is residual in \(H(G)\) have been investigated by the first two authors in [\textit{L.\,Bernál--Gonzalez} and \textit{M.\,C.\thinspace Calderón--Moreno}, J.~Math.\ Anal.\ Appl.\ 263, 95--109 (2001; Zbl 1028.47011)]. Reviewer's remark. In the definition of the set \(K(G)\), p.\,2, the word ``non'' has to be deleted; that is, \(K(G)\) should be the family of all compact subsets of \(G\) such that \(G\setminus K\) has no (in \(G\)) relatively compact components.
