    Sequences of the type \((x_ n)= (\{n\alpha_ 1 \}, \dots, \{n\alpha_ s \})\) in \([0, 1]^ S\) are called Kronecker sequences; \(\{ \cdot \}\) denotes the fractional part and if \(1, \alpha_ 1, \dots, \alpha_ s\) are linearly independent over the rationals these sequences are known to be uniformly distributed in \([0, 1]^ S\). Very recently, \textit{J. Beck} [Ann. Math., II. Ser. 140, 451-502 (1994; Zbl 0820.11045)] obtained the discrepancy bound \[ N D_ N= O((\log N)^{s+ \varepsilon}) \qquad (\varepsilon >0) \] for almost all \((\alpha_ 1, \dots, \alpha_ s)\) (in the sense of Lebesgue measure), proving a long standing conjecture. In the present paper a non-archimedean analog of Kronecker sequences is considered. This type of sequence is motivated by recent constructions of net-sequences, see also \textit{G. Larcher} and \textit{H. Niederreiter} [Acta Arith. 63, 379-396 (1993; Zbl 0774.11039)]. The constructions are based on Laurent series over \({\mathcal H}_ q\), \(q\) prime. Using the natural Haar measure it is proved that the discrepancy of the generalized Kronecker sequences satisfy the following metric upper bound: \[ N D_ N= O((\log N)^ s (\log\log N)^{2+ \varepsilon}) \qquad (\varepsilon>0). \]
