This paper is devoted to the study of the Buchsbaum property in terms of certain spectral sequences and the application of this method to the investigation of Buchsbaum conditions for the Segre product of graded modules. In section 1, the author introduces and studies the notion of r-Buchsbaum modules. Section 2 is the homogeneous version of section 1. Section 3 is devoted to the study of some examples, which give the motivation for the main theorems. In section 4 one proves: theorem A, which gives necessary and sufficient conditions for the Segre product of graded modules (in some hypothesis) to have the Buchsbaum property, theorem B, which gives sufficient conditions for the same conclusion (previous results in this direction were obtained by Stückrad and Vogel and by Schenzel) and theorem C, which presents counterexamples.
