    Let A a finite-dimensional algebra over an algebraically closed field k. The authors consider the algebra \[ A^{(t)}= \begin{pmatrix} A_ 0 \\ D_ 1 &a_ 0 \\ &D_ 2 &A_ 2 \\ 0 && \ddots & \ddots \\ &&& D_ t&A_ t \end{pmatrix} \] where \(A_ i=A\), \(D_ i\) is the A-A bimodule \(Hom_ k(A,k)\), and \(D_ i\cdot D_{i-1}=0\). First, the dominant and global dimensions of \(A^{(t)}\) are estimated. Then, it is determined when \(A^{(t)}\) is of finite representation type, provided that A either is Nakayama or has radical of square zero.
