The paper deals with the new stabilized three-field formulation for advection-diffusion equation. The authors prove the stability of the scheme and a priori estimates which are of the same convergence order as the standard SUPG method. A Schur complement equation is derived which can solve the scheme. Numerical results confirming the theoretical calculations are presented.
