The present paper explains how to control the overall resultant internal flux without discretizing the outer boundary. The procedure is based on the superposition on an unknown constant potential at infinity which is dealt with analytically in the formulation. This idea is of interest for many practical problems such as design of cathodic protection systems of marine structures, and can also be extended to elasticity problems.
