Let \(\mathfrak M\) be variety of algebras. Consider a space \(V_n\) of multilinear words of length \(n\) over alphabet \(x_1,\dots,x_n\) in relatively free algebra in \(\mathfrak M\), \(n_k=\dim(V_k)\). The sequence \(\{n_k\}\) is a \textit{codimension sequence} of the variety \(\mathfrak M\). Codimension sequence was introduced by \textit{A. Regev} [Isr. J. Math. 11, 131--152 (1972; Zbl 0249.16007)] and extensively studied by A. Giambruno, M. Zaicev, S. Mischenko, Berele. I have to mention a great result achieved by the Italian school to which the authors of paper belong. The paper deals with codimension growth of varieties of associative super algebras with involution \(*\). The authors classify minimal super-\(*\)-varieties with growth rate \(n^k\), i.e., such that any proper super-\(*\)-subvariety has smaller polynomial asymptotic. For \(k>2\) characterization is given on Young type diagrams language.
