Inexact trust-region methods for PDE-constrained optimization (Q2419400): Difference between revisions

In this almost 40-page long contribution, the authors review (most of) the recent advances on trust-region methods for PDE-constrained optimization problems. After a brief introduction with several literature hints and a short section dedicated to notations, the considered PDE-constrained optimization problems are introduced and the most important hypotheses associated with them in order to achieve various results are presented. Next follow the most important algorithmic contributions to solving such problems, followed by a section dedicated to applications in risk-neutral optimization. Finally, some numerical examples with corresponding computational results are also provided, and a short conclusive section closes the paper. For the entire collection see [Zbl 1402.49004].
