    A positive locally integrable function w(x) is a weight function of class \(A_ p\), if \[ \sup_{Q}(1/| Q| \int_{Q}w(x)dx)(1/| Q| \int_{Q}w(x)^{1/(1-p)}dx)^{p-1}<\infty,\quad 1<p<\infty, \] where the supremum is taken over all cubes Q in \({\mathbb{R}}^ n\). Let \(\omega\) be a modulus of continuity, i.e. be a continuous, increasing, concave function \(R^+\to R^+\) such that \(\omega (0)=0\) and \(\sigma\) (x,\(\xi)\): \({\mathbb{R}}^ n\times {\mathbb{R}}^ n\to {\mathbb{C}}\) be a continuous function such that \[ | D^{\alpha}_{\xi}\sigma (x,\xi)| \leq C_{\alpha}(1+| \xi |)^{-| \alpha |},\quad | D^{\alpha}_{\xi}\sigma (x+y,\xi)-D^{\alpha}_{\xi}\sigma (x,\xi)| \leq C_{\alpha}\omega (| y|)(1+| \xi |)^{-| \alpha |} \] for all \(\alpha \in {\mathbb{N}}^ n.\) Theorem. Let \(1<p<\infty\) and \(j^ 2\omega (2^{-j})<C\) for all \(j\in {\mathbb{N}}\). Then the estimate \(\int | \sigma (x,D)f(x)|^ pw(x)dx\leq C\int | f(x)|^ pw(x)dx\) is valid for the functions f from \(C_ 0^{\infty}(R^ n)\) if and only if \(w\in A_ p\). Earlier such a result was obtained for the usual pseudodifferential operators by \textit{N. Miller} [Trans. Am. Math. Soc. 269, 91-109 (1982; Zbl 0482.35082)].
