Verf. untersucht im Anschluß an \textit{Gegenbauer} (1892; F. d. M. 24, 139 (JFM 24.0139.*)) die \(p\)-dimensionale Determinante \(n\)-ter Ordnung \(\varDelta_n^{(p)}\), deren allgemeines Glied dargestellt wird durch \[ \alpha_{i_1i_2\dots i_p} = F(i_1, i_2, \dots, i_p), \] wobei \(F\) irgendeine Funktion des größten gemeinsamen Teilers von \(i_1, i_2, \dots, i_p\) ist. Der Wert von \(\varDelta_n^{(p)}\) ist von \(p\) unabhängig und beträgt \(\prod\limits_{\nu =1 }^n f (\nu)\), wobei \(f (\nu)\) definiert ist durch \(\sum\limits_{\delta / n} f(\delta) = F (n)\). Der Fall \( p = 2\) liefert die gewöhnliche \textit{Smith}sche Determinante.
