A non-overlapping domain decomposition method for reaction-diffusion problems is considered. An a posteriori estimate is obtained which bounds the errors on the subdomains by the difference of traces of the subdomain solutions. Discretization by finite elements permits the adaptation of a posteriori error analysis to get an estimate for the errors in the subdomain solutions.
