The authors describe a method for the numerical solution of boundary integral equations which uses a quadrature formula of Nyström type and combines it with local corrections in the vicinity of the singularity. The method is applied to the Maxwell equations describing electromagnetic scattering in 2D and 3D. Implementational aspects are discussed and numerical results are presented.
