Let D be a bounded domain in \({\mathbb{R}}^ m\). We call \(L={\mathbb{R}}^ n\times D=\{(X,Y)\); \(Y\in D\}^ a \)strip. If D is a Lipschitz domain, then L is said to be a Lipschitz strip. In this note we consider the Martin compactification of a Lipschitz strip. We present a new proof based on the boundary Harnack principle and the symmetric property of the Green function G for L, i.e., if \(Y\in D\) and \(X,X'\in {\mathbb{R}}^ n\), then G((X,Y),(X',Y)) depends only on \(| X-X'|\). We also consider the Martin boundary of the semi-strip \(\{X\in {\mathbb{R}}^ n\); \(x_ 1>0\}\times D\) and give a generalization of Example 3 by \textit{R. S. Martin} [Trans. Am. Math. Soc. 49, 137-172 (1941; Zbl 0025.33302)].
