This paper provides a number of new, interesting examples involving \textit{lineability} and related properties of certain sets of real valued functions. (For terminology, see, for example, [\textit{R.\,Aron, V.\,I.\thinspace Guariy} and \textit{J.\,B.\thinspace Seoane}, Proc.\ Am.\ Math.\ Soc.\ 133, No.\,3, 795--803 (2005; Zbl 1069.26006)].) Most of the examples involve non-Riemann integrable functions, for instance, the set of a.e.\ continuous functions on a fixed unbounded interval that are not Riemann integrable contains an infinitely generated closed subalgebra. Also, on any unbounded interval, the set of Riemann integrable functions that are not Lebesgue integrable is lineable. On any nontrivial interval, the set of Lebesgue integrable, non-Riemann integrable functions is spaceable. Furthermore, on any non-compact metric space, the set of all continuous functions that are unbounded is algebrable. The techniques used involve easily understood, but ingenious constructions.
