The author studies the generalized strongly nonlinear variational inequality problem \((P)\): Find \(x\in K\), \(u\in T(x)\), \(v\in A(x)\) such that \(\langle u-v,y-x\rangle\geq 0\) for all \(y\in K\), where \(K\) is a closed convex subset of a Hilbert space and \(H,T:H\to 2^ H\) are two multivalued mappings. If \(K\) is a closed convex cone, then the above problem turns out to be equivalent to a generalized strongly nonlinear complementarity problem. The author proves also an existence theorem for the problem \((P)\) and develops an algorithm for finding an approximate solutions. The results include lots of known ones in this field.
