Period integrals connect Hodge theory, number theory, mirror symmetry and other areas of mathematics, in particular, the study of elliptic integrals and hypergeometric equations. The present survey discusses recent progress in the domain of tautological systems which are Picard-Fuchs type systems arising from varieties with large symmetry. This includes tautological systems for vector bundles, a new construction of Jacobian rings for homogeneous vector bundles and relations between period integrals and zeta functions. For the entire collection see [Zbl 1402.14006].
