Lamination of the unique even integral lattice of determinant 3 and minimum 4 in dimension 26 yields lattices of center density \(1/ \sqrt 3\) in dimension 27 and 2/3 in dimension 28. These lattices are hence denser than the laminated lattices of Conway-Sloane of the same dimensions. A similar construction yields also a 29-dimensional lattice of center density \(1/ \sqrt 3\).
