This is the second edition of the book. The first edition was published in 1994 [for a detailed review, see Zbl 0797.53001]. Contents: Curves, surfaces and minimal surfaces with a discussion of the Weierstrass representation, the Plateau problem and the Bernstein theorem. The book contains examples, figures and a lot of interesting exercises. This book is useful not only for students majoring in mathematics, but also for those majoring in physics and other natural sciences.
