The paper deals with R. Thom's conjecture about orbital topological classification of four parameter families of gradient dynamical systems. The conjecture was that such a classification amounts to classifying the deformations of related potential functions. This was shown to be true in the case of one and two parameter families, but fails for three and four parameter families of gradient vector fields. In this paper the author presents a full classification of local bifurcations of three and four parameter gradient dynamical systems on a Riemannian manifold such that they meet in generic three parameter sets of potentials near their singular points. Unfortunately, the paper contains no proofs, only a lot of references, which makes its reading rather difficult.
