Die Aberration des Lichts ist von \textit{James Bradley} entdeckt worden; der Brief an \textit{Edmond Halley}, in dem er von der Entdeckung Mitteilung macht, ist am 9. und 16. 1. 1729 vor der Royal Society verlesen worden. Die vorliegende Arbeit enthält auf p. 241-265 eine faksimilierte Wiedergabe dieses Briefes, der in Philos. Transactions Nr. 406, vol. 35 (1729), 637-661 zum erstenmal abgedruckt worden ist. Ferner macht Verf. hier eine Reihe von Angaben zur Biographie \textit{Bradley}s und \textit{Halley}s.
