Die Winkelverteilung der Intensität im Röntgenbrennspektrum wird erhalten, indem in die klassische Formel für die Geschwindigkeit der Kathodenstrahlen der Mittelwert zwischen der Anfangsgeschwindigkeit \(v_1\) und der Endgeschwindigkeit \(v_2\) eingesetzt wird, wo nach \textit{Bohr} \(h\nu=\dfrac m2(v_1^2-v_2^2)\), wenn \(\nu\) die betrachtete Frequenz der Röntgenstrahlen ist. Die berechneten Winkel der maximalen Intensität stimmen gut zu den Messungen von \textit{Kulenkampff}.
