The authors extend the results from [\textit{J.-P. Bourguignon} and \textit{H. B. Lawson jun.}, Commun. Math. Phys. 79, 189--230 (1981; Zbl 0475.53060); \textit{Q. Chen} and \textit{Z.-R. Zhou}, Can. J. Math. 59, No. 6, 1245--1259 (2007; Zbl 1131.58010)]. The classic integrand of the Yang-Mills functional is replaced by \(F(\| R^{\nabla }\|^2/2)\), and similarly defines an \(F\)-Yang-Mills functional, and hence \(F\)-Yang-Mills fields, where \(F\) is a non-negative function. The article investigates the gaps of \(F\)-Yang-Mills fields on some submanifolds of the Euclidean space and the sphere.
