A parallel Lanczos method for symmetric generalized eigenvalue problems (English)

An implementation (PLANSO) of a parallel version of the Lanczos method for solving symmetric generalized eigenvalue problems it described. The program is based on a sequential version called LANSO. PLANSO is portable to all machines that support MPI. Numerical tests show that PLANSO achieves similar efficiency as PARPACK, a parallel version of the implicit restarted Arnoldi algorithm.
