A noncompact complete Riemannian manifold \(M\) is asymptotically flat whenever \(|K(x)|\cdot d(p, x)^2\to 0\) as \(d(p, x)\to\infty\), where \(p\) is a base point and \(|K(x)|\) is the maximum of absolute values of sectional curvatures w.r.t. all the planes \(\subset T_xM\). \(M\) has a cone structure at infinity if the pointed metric spaces \((M, \epsilon\cdot g, p)\) converge in Gromov-Hausdorff topology to a metric cone \((C, 0)\) as \(\epsilon\to 0\). The authors study asymptotically flat manifolds with a cone structure at infinity, show that such manifolds have finitely many ends and characterize their simply connected ends and corresponding cones.
