Let \(G\) be a linear algebraic group over a field of characteristic zero \(k.\) Let \(X\) be a quasi-projective \(k\)-scheme with a linear \(G\)-action. For \(X\) smooth, Desphande defined the equivariant cobordism \({\Omega}^{G}_{*}(X)\) using the coniveau filtration on the Levine-Morel cobordism of certain smooth mixed spaces [\textit{D. Desphande}, ``Algebraic cobordism of classifying spaces'', \url{arXiv:mathAG/0907.4437}]. Using a niveau filtration on the algebraic cobordism the author defines the equivariant algebraic cobordism of any \(k\)-scheme with \(G\)-action. For smooth schemes this gives the same groups as defined by Desphande. The author establishes basic properties of these groups as well as relation with equivariant Chow groups, \(K\)-groups and complexes cobordism. He also proves that the rational equivariant cobordism of a \(G\)-scheme is the Weyl group invariants of the equivariant cobordism for the action of a maximal torus of \(G.\) As a consequence the author shows that the rational algebraic cobordism of the classifying space of a complex linear algebraic group is isomorphic to its complex cobordism.
