Let \(\zeta(s)\) be the Riemann zeta-function. The authors prove that the function \(\zeta(1/2+it)\) assumes arbitrary large real values. This is an interesting result towards the conjecture that the set of values of the Riemann zeta-function on the critical line \(s=1/2+it\) is dense in the complex plane. To prove this result, the mean values over Gram's points for \(\zeta(s)\) and \(|\zeta(s)|^2\) were considered. In the paper a more general situation is investigated. The authors consider the intersections of the curve \(\zeta(1/2+i\mathbb{R})\) with a straight line \(e^{i\phi}\mathbb{R}\), where \(\phi\in[0,\pi)\) is fixed. The number of such intersections is estimated and asymptotic formulae for the first and second associated discrete moments are obtained.
