Let \(a\) and \(b\) be real numbers such that \(a\geq 2\) and \(0\leq b\leq \frac 2a\). Then the authors prove that there is a Cantor-like set \(\mathbb E\) with Hausdorff dimension equal to \(b\), such that for an uniform measure on \(\mathbb E\), almost all real numbers have irrationality measure exponent equal to \(a\). In addition, they also prove that there is a Cantor-like set \(\mathbb F\) such that for uniform measure on \(\mathbb F\) almost all real numbers in \(\mathbb F\) have irrationality measure exponent equal to \(a\) and effective Hausdorff dimension equal to \(b\). The proofs are in the spirit of Jarník.
