    In this paper an invariant of a 3-manifold containing a framed knot is constructed, based on the Reidemeister torsion of an acyclic complex of Euclidean geometric origin corresponding to the Pachner moves of tetrahedra, and this invariant does not rely on any nontrivial representation of the fundamental group of the manifold. Calculations of the invariant for some framed unknots in the 3-sphere and in lens spaces are carried out to show the nontriviality of the invariant.
